Celeste Elementary Students
Awarded for Participation in School Events

On December 4, 2008, Celeste Elementary held an assembly to award students for their hard work and diligence shown through their participation in recent school events.  The first awards were given to students that sold the most items in the school fund raiser.  Destiny Nicolson was awarded an iPod Shuffle for the highest sales.  Mary Gilliam and Logan McCord also received gift cards for high sales.  Randy Stratton’s name was drawn to win a remote control car for participating in the Math-A-Thon.  Celeste Elementary students were very active in raising funds for the annual United Way Clothe-A-Child program.  The Celeste Elementary Principal, Paula Lyon, agreed take a pie in the face from the class that raised the most money for Clothe-A-Child.  Mrs. Reba Barnard’s kindergarten class raised the most money.  Mrs. Lyon was a good sport as she received pies in the face from Ashlyn Spoonmore, Emily Olivo, Reece Wade and Garrett Gibson.  CISD proudly raised over $3,600.00 for Clothe-A-Child.
