Author Visit with CES Teacher
Rhonda Riskey

Celeste native, Mrs. Rhonda Riskey, gave a book talk to Celeste Elementary and Junior High School students on October 27, 2010.  Mrs. Riskey was promoting her newly published book, The Private Eyes.  She talked with students about how important reading is to every aspect of life, and she described how books have always been a source of adventure and escape for her.  She encouraged students to find books on topics of interest to them.    Mrs. Riskey credits her success as a writer to many of the teachers that she had while in school at Celeste.  Riskey is currently working on the second installment in the series entitled The Private Eyes and the Case of the Ghost at City Hall

Since her book is a mystery, Mrs. Riskey played a mystery character game during her presentation.  Students in the audience asked questions to guess a character from a famous book.  Members from the CHS book club dressed as the characters and students had fun bringing them to life as they revealed hints about the mystery character.
