Celeste High School
 Students Receive Honors

John Tidwell, CHS senior, was commended in the 2009 National Merit Scholarship Program. He was one of 34,000 students throughout the nation that was recognized for exceptional academic promise.  He placed among the top five percent of more than 1.5 million students who entered the competition by taking the 2007 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT). Amber Stembridge, CHS junior,  recently submitted an essay to Creative Communication A Celebration of Today's Writers, and her essay was chosen for publication in the anthology Celebrating What is Important to Me. Celeste High School feels honored with Amber's accomplishments as thousands of entries were not invited to be published. Being published represents a lot of talent, hard work and dedication. This makes Amber's 7th time to be published!
