LOVE to SAILORS on the |

The Celeste High School Spanish
Club and Beta Club recently partnered with the
Hunt County Disabled American Veterans Chapter
and adopted over 300 sailors onboard the USS
Cape St. George. The idea came from We SHIP Love
- Molly's Adopt a Sailor project which
challenges citizens to hand write one letter to
someone who is currently deployed to let them
know they are appreciated. For more information

clubs have been working diligently to collect
items to send to the sailors for the holidays.
As word spread, Celeste students school wide
wanted to be involved with the project. Celeste
Junior High and elementary students wrote
letters and brought in items that were listed on
the Navy for Moms website. On Monday, Dec. 6, CISD
students met after school for a packing party to
package all of the goods and letters that had
been collected for the sailors.
