PINK OUT THE HONEY GROVE WARRIORS

The CHS Varsity Cheerleaders sponsored a fundraiser for Breast Cancer Awareness month.  Students and staff were asked to donate any amount possible for the Susan G. Komen Foundation.  The cheerleaders designated the Blue Devil Spirit Day on October 22 to be, "Pink Out the Warriors Day", and they asked everyone to wear pink on Friday and at the game in recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness.  Celeste Elementary raised $79.50, CJHS raised $329.45 and CHS raised $58.46. Blue Devil fans gave $114.77 at the game.  In all, CISD raised $582.18 for the cure!

CJHS Teacher Challenge!
CJHS teachers, Mitch Jordan, Boe Parr, Marshall Miller and Demetrius Rector, teamed up and told CJHS students they would paint their hair pink if the students raised $100.  This got the kids in action, and they had over $100 in less than 45 minutes!  Later the teachers told the students they would also paint their facial hair and wear pink bows if the students raised another $100.  It was done!  CJHS raised a total of $329.45!
