Technology Claymation Integration Project

The students in Mrs. Crystal Brown's high school technology class are collaborating with Mrs. Theresa Moore's and Mrs. Shana Bennett's1st grade students to produce a claymation movie. The technology students are working with the 1st grade students to create clay figures from classic nursery rhymes. These figures will be the stars of the show. The students will create a stage and props. Using a digital camera and tripod, the students will capture a series of poses. These images will be imported into a software program such as Microsoft Photo Story 3 or Microsoft Movie Maker for Windows. The still pictures will come to life in the form of a movie that will also include the 1st graders narration of the story. This is an excellent example of a student centered project that focuses on technology integration of the technology applications TEKS into the core curriculum.
