Alan Myers L3 Engineer Airplane Project

Last week the 4th and 5th graders were treated to a special afternoon with an engineer from L3, Mr. Alan Myers. Because of Engineers Week, Mr. Myers came and talked to 4th and 5th grade students about his profession and the many different jobs that engineers can do. Since he is an aeronautical engineer, the students worked in groups to design their own paper airplanes. They competed against all other groups to see which plane would go the farthest. A special award went to the most creative plane. We want to thank Mr. Myers for this valuable learning experience!
