Real-life Haunted Houses replicated at CJHS

By Nancy Longino

English has never been quite so scary as in Mrs. Nicole Hicks class at CJHS; at least that is what her students claim.  Students in Mrs. Hicks 6th, 7th and 8th grade English classes wrote fictional stories about real-life haunted houses.  If presenting their stories in front of their classmates didn’t send a chill through their bones, perhaps just looking at the haunted houses they built did the trick.  It was no treat building houses out of wood, Popsicle sticks, food and styrofoam materials, but the task was accomplished with remarkable resemblance to some haunted houses located in Texas, Missouri, Louisiana, Alabama, and Georgia.  Scroll below and click on the image to view some of the haunted houses.
