Celeste H.S. student Ashley Hocutt has received the highest honor any AP English student could desire. Her short essay she had written for the essay contest for young writers this past fall, will soon be published in an anthology; Celebrating what is important to me. Only the very best essays out of thousands yielded are selected for this honor, as not every essay submitted is invited for publication. Being published represents Ashley’s hard work and dedication shown in her efforts to excel in her studies, as well as the teachers who support and instruct her. This makes a strong statement about the fine academic teachers we have at Celeste High School.
