Celeste ISD is a “RECOGNIZED” district!
 

Celeste Independent School District was one of only 330 schools in the state of Texas to obtain a "RECOGNIZED" rating! Just as preliminary scores had suggested, TAKS scores for the 2005-06 school year revealed that Celeste ISD well exceeded state averages in all grade levels and all subject areas, thus earning the Texas Education Agency’s ranking of RECOGNIZED.  Only 14 of 80 Region X school districts earned this rank.  Celeste Elementary School was awarded the most prestigious state ranking of EXEMPLARY.  The elementary campus scored 94% or better in all areas with 100% passing in 4^th & 5^th grade reading and 5^th grade math.  The Junior High, a RECOGNIZED campus also celebrated perfect marks in 6^th & 8^th grade reading, 7^th grade writing, and 8^th grade social studies.  Celeste High School, a RECOGNIZED campus, also performed at 100% mastery in 10^th and 11^th grade ELA and 10^th and 11^th social studies.  Math and Science had the largest gains with all grade levels scoring an average of 18% above state averages. Every teacher and student at every grade level of Celeste ISD is to be commended for a job well done.
