Charging By Contact

There are many ways objects can become charged. The most common one you know probably static electricity which is the result of the transfer of electrons of objects that come in contact with eachother. You may have noticed this when rubbing ballons together or when your socks are stuck together in from coming in contact with eachother in the clothes dryer. This process of transferring electrical charge is called charging by contact.
